Anne Marie Sferra

B.S., Bowling Green State University; J.D., The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law. Professional Memberships: Ohio State Bar Association; American Bar Association; Columbus Bar Association; Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (Board of Directors); Defense Research Institute. Ms. Sferra is a Litigation Partner and Chair of the Appellate Advocacy Group. She has experience in insurance cases, including class actions, ERISA, bad faith claims, and coverage issues. Ms. Sferra also has experience handling cases involving trade secrets, enforcement of confidentiality agreements, defamation, invasion of privacy, tortuous interference with contractual relations, and a variety of business-related claims. She has litigated election and referenda issues throughout Ohio. In 2008, Ms. Sferra became the first Columbus-area attorney to be Certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by the OSBA. She is the author of several articles, including “Ohio High Court Upholds Law Limiting Tort Damages,” WASHINGTON LEGAL FOUNDATIONS LEGAL BACKGROUNDER, Feb. 22, 2008.
